A short ﬁlm showing the pulse and innovation behind the scenes of Britain’s leading news brand, both from an editorial and commercial perspective.
I was commissioned to conceive and direct this for the in-house production team. Instead of a traditional scripted voice-over I edited the narrative from ﬁve hours of recorded conversation with key members of staﬀ such as the editor in chief, Tony Gallagher, director of content, Richard Ellis and social media editor, Kate Day. My intention was to create a sense of genuine, unscripted ﬁrst-person conversation. The visual edit was developed to reﬂect this and further portray the busy, multi-faceted nature of a thriving multi-media content provider.
